St. Luke’s Annual Day of Service and Outreach

St. Luke’s has always been about mission and outreach beyond our walls. We have coordinated multiple outreach sites for our community to volunteer with on Saturday, April 20. Grab your family and friends and decide where you want to serve! What better way go Above and Beyond and share the St. Luke’s spirit across the Denver-metro area?
Morning Blessing
At 9:00am on Saturday, April 20 meet at St. Luke’s for coffee and donuts. You will. connect with your volunteer group and plan for carpooling. The clergy team will offer a prayer and blessing as you head out to serve!
Registration
Please sign-up for one of the following outreach and service opportunities. You will be contacted following registration with more details and in some cases, the information to complete a secondary registration directly with the organization where you will be volunteering.
Register all family members who will be participating. Include the age of all those under 18. Please indicate if you are willing to carpool.
We Don’t Waste – North Middle School Mobile Food Market, Aurora CO
We will serve at a no-cost grocery market offered to the public. This market is outdoors. Please wear comfortable clothing and close toed shoes. Also, please check the weather before the event and dress accordingly. We will be outdoors for the duration of the event. Participants must be at least 12 if accompanied by their parent/guardian.
Time: Saturday, April 20 from 12:15pm-3:30pm

Highlands Ranch Community Association -
We will be clearing trails including cutting down shrubbery, clearing branches, and more. We will also be spreading mulch and digging out and painting stumps in outdoor classrooms, and possibly gardening.

Colorado Feeding Kids – Meal Packing Event, Denver CO
Pack nutritious meals that are given free of charge to families, schools, food banks to help eradicate food insecurity. This is a fun project for ages 7 and up!

St. Luke's Monday Lunches – Blessing Bag Packing Event @ St. Luke’s
Pack Blessing Bags that will be available to accompany the Monday Lunches that St. Luke’s prepares for those experiencing homelessness in Denver. This is an event for ALL ages, but especially young children.

Florence Crittenton Services
FCS works to educate, prepare, and empower teen mothers and their children. Our group will assist FCS outdoor in landscaping work (weather permitting) as well as sorting donations.

St. Luke's Garden Clean Up -
Help tend to our impressive backyard garden at St. Luke’s. You’ll be moving mulch, cutting back over-growth, and other tasks. Bring sunscreen, water, and work gloves. All ages are welcome to participate.

St. Luke’s Labyrinth – Clean-up and Restoration
Help spruce up the St. Luke’s labyrinth in our backyard. You’ll be shifting pea gravel, weeding, and restoring the path. Bring sunscreen, water, and work gloves. All ages are welcome to participate. St. Luke’s Youth are highly encouraged to attend.
